Information NoShort uses
You can use NoShort without an account. Without one, the topics you make and the creators in them, saved videos, watch history and learning progress are kept only in your browser's storage on that device. If you then sign in, the topics in that browser are moved to your account. If you sign in with Google, your name, email address, profile photo, and account identifier come from Google and are used to keep your feed with you. Your topics and the creators in them are stored on your NoShort account, and your saved videos, watch history, resume positions and focus time are synced to it so they follow you between devices.
Learning activity and Discover
To learn which learning paths and videos actually help, NoShort records simple learning events — for example opening a path, finishing a video in it, or adding a suggested channel — together with a random identifier stored in your browser. These events do not contain your name, email address or IP address. When you are signed in, Discover builds a library for each of your topics: it uses the topic's name, the channels you chose for it, and public YouTube video information such as titles and descriptions, and this information is processed by Anthropic's Claude service to find related channels and sort videos by level. Each topic's library is shown only to you, and deleting the topic deletes it. Your name, email address and other account details are never sent for this.
Video and creator information
NoShort retrieves public channel, playlist, video, and comment information from third-party video services. Embedded players are provided by those services and may process device, usage, or cookie information under their own policies.
Advertising
When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to NoShort or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to personalize advertising. You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
Cookies and consent
NoShort may use browser storage and cookies for sign-in, preferences, security, analytics, consent, and advertising. Where required, an approved consent message will let visitors choose how advertising data is used before personalized ads are served.
Your choices
You can remove saved videos and watch history from their respective pages. You can also clear NoShort data through your browser settings. Advertising choices can be changed through the consent message or Google Ads Settings.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as NoShort adds learning tools, analytics, or advertising services. The latest revision date will always appear at the top of this page.
